Government agencies, PSUs, and enterprises across India faced a common constraint: data sovereignty and compliance requirements (including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023) made reliance on centralized, often foreign-hosted cloud infrastructure increasingly untenable. At the same time, latency-sensitive use cases, ranging from AI-powered video surveillance to industrial automation, demanded compute located at the edge, not hundreds of kilometers away in a hyperscale region.
India's National Telecom Service Provider (BSNL) needed a way to offer sovereign, AI-ready infrastructure to public and private sector customers without each customer building and operating their own data center.
Delaplex designed its Micro Data Center architecture around three principles: co-location flexibility (shared or fully private), AI-native compute (Intel Xeon 6 with on-core AI acceleration, NVIDIA A100 GPUs for inference and training), and a bundled service layer (VPS, Workstation-as-a-Service, Platform-as-a-Service, B-Safe cloud security, and B-Drive cloud storage) so customers could subscribe to exactly the capability they needed.
Every unit ships with a monitored dashboard, liquid cooling with AI-HSM sensor monitoring, redundant power, and a smart AI-driven fire suppression system (FACP), engineered for unattended, remote operation.

The initiative launched with a live demonstration site at SR Nagar Metro Station in Hyderabad, roughly 900 meters from the Ameerpet BSNL exchange, proving the co-located model in a real operational environment. From there, deployment expanded to Pondicherry, Jaipur, Guwahati, and Mumbai, positioning BSNL's sovereign cloud offering across major population and industrial centers.
Each site connects into BSNL's existing Bharat Broadband Network (BBNW), integrating with State Wide Area Networks (SWAN) and national WAN infrastructure, and supports high-speed wireless connectivity for last-mile access where fiber isn't available.
